Dr. Neil Gibson – Orthopaedics
Neil graduated from Murdoch University in 1990. After five years in mixed and small animal practice in the UK he moved to the University of Glasgow where he undertook a one year internship in small animal surgery, followed by a three year residency in small animal orthopaedics. He was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics an 1996 and the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Surgery (orthopaedics) in 1999.
Neil returned to Western Australia at the end of 1999 to take up a position as Registrar in Small Animal Surgery at Murdoch University. In May 2004 Neil opened Rivergum Referral Services where he continues to offer referral services in the fields of orthopaedics, neurosurgery and rheumatology.
Particular areas of interest include limb deformity correction, biological osteosynthesis, immune mediated arthritis and joint replacement.
